Nude, Paul Abbott workshop
I recently took a 3-day workshop from a Prescott artist, Paul
Abbott, who is a British painter living norh.I decided to take his workshop after watching an incredibly invigorating live demo at the Mountain Artists' Guild in Prescott.
Paul has an original approach to painting the figure, and he is really an extraordinary artist, laden with content and thought, executed with discipline.
I posted this here, because it is a nude, but it is likewise an open studio session and worskhop. My painting is 48 x48. On 1/2 inch plywood, which I can lift and carry but not for long disatnces .
I learned a great deal in this class, and had a HUGE amount of fun.
Oh BTW this painting. which is huge for me, took about 2 1/2hours!!!!
That's why it is almost an open studio painting.
