Thank you Julia,
I guess out here the naked people sub-forum is a bit less interesting to people. I have been attending a few more nude sessions because there is the opportunity of a 6 hour pose. I will be doing more cropping in future studies because a face is a face is a face. What goes on below the neck is easier for me in nudes, so I am trying to get in more clothed figures, but those long anatomy poses seem to be a bit more glamorous.

This was too big a subject for the first outing. I found in the second piece I just posted, that a smaller painting gave me a whole different feeling when I went past my three hour attention span. I had completely resigned myself to only four hours, but I went the full six and was more able to fully explore the possibilities. It was a real change in what I noticed came OUT of the session. Much less of what I thought I was putting in.

I also found that, although our model this week was hurting by the second hour, and the second session was almost as much stretching on his part as posing, I had a more confident idea of what to do with my planning and eye. For a fidgeting pose, it SEEMS much crisper. Again, it was a completely new experience..perhaps this all should be on the other posting, but as the subject is time, it is relevant here.
