I think you nailed the perspective, Richard. Overall I like this piece. I do have a question, though: it seems like the face is done in a different style than the rest of the piece - more breaks in continuity of shadows - that is, more abrupt transitions. That and her severe expression disturb me a bit, but perhaps that was the intention of the piece? To disturb the viewer a bit and make them wonder about her expression?
