Art rack without carpentry

Hi -

Thought I would share this. I don't do carpentry, but desperately needed an art rack. I already had these wire display grids.

What you're seeing is 4 grids, 2 x 6 feet, attached so that two are together on each side with two base feet per side.

I've used precut lumber strips through the grids. They stay attached to the sides because screw-in cup hooks hold on to the grids.

In the spaces in-between, you see screw-in metal eyes. I connected jute string between eyes to create compartments.

I like it because I can still used these display grids for shows if I ever have to, but in the meantime, they hold my frames, canvases, boxes, spare bits of cardboard, etc. Plus my backgrounds and other drapes I have (hung on 4 ft wood dowels) fit over everything to keep the dust off.
