Pastels
After just recently discovering the great Daniel Greene, I've taken an interest in pastels.
How do pastel prices compare to oil paint? I have a hard time getting away from pencil/charcoal and into color mediums because of the price. I tend to work in only about 5 colors and apply extremely small amounts of paint to the canvas.
I'm hoping that pastels will help me work more freely.
Daniel Greene is offering pastel set at $79 (18 pastels) - $590 (144 pastels). Is this way too expensive for a beginner? I'm completely lost and would be extremely grateful for any help.
I'm also trying to get myself to spend $80 on one of his instruction videos. Why is everything so expensive?!
