I've had that peculiarity with My Nikon as well. Although I never really figured out the culprit, It seemed to occur only when I was shooting in my studio with natural daylight, but my sliding glass door has a screen.
I don't get the waves when I shoot in natural daylight elsewhere in my house, as long as the windows aren't screened.
