For the workshop we had 16 people signed up and we worked with 2 models. After we had set up our easels we were told to work from 9am until noon on one model and then move for the afternoon session to the next model. You might wonder why we did not move the models instead. Well, being that we are still a low budget organization the set up was, let's say "less than perfect". After the backdrop fell over and almost gave the model a concussion, we voted for the mass migration.

It got better as the week progressed. On day two our 2nd model, who would mysteriously disappear while Peggy was explaining something, got sick and cancelled the rest of the week. After a frantic search which cost one group an hour, we found a substitute, which proofed to be a great model.

But that's not all folks, while Peggy would be explaining things, kiddie music from a "Mommy and Me" class next door would drift in or we would hear the chime of the ice cream man. So much for staying focused on what Peggy was saying!

Day four knocked me off my feet with a sudden kidney stone attack having to leave and wondering what else could go wrong.

All in all, if one disregards the minor set backs, we had a very successful workshop. Everyone, except for yours truly was able to finish two very nice paintings and it was apparent that Peggy's teachings were well observed and applied.

These images were sent by Loren Tripp. Here is model number two and Loren's painting.
