Holly, artists who are members of Stroke of Genius are listed by location, so you could always look to see whether any familiar names are listed on the SOG site for the states you'll be passing through. As far as galleries go, the ones around here don't want to show portrait art because it's almost entirely commissioned work and isn't for sale. They make their money through taking a cut when a work on display is sold.
