This 8×10 pencil portrait of a son who passed away last Christmas was commissioned by his father for the wife and child he left behind. The dad asked me to be sure and capture the gleam in his eyes. I drew him with a Blackwing which is 4B on Canson pure-white paper.

Great drawing! Your technique reminds me so much of Andrew Loomis.
