Clayton's drawing of Jovi

This is a drawing that I did of Jovi, a young man in Vermont. I saw the beautiful lines of his profile and knew immediately what I wanted to do.

I wanted to do a silver point drawing. The only problem was that I didn't have the proper tools with me. All I had was vine charcoal and pastel paper. I knew the look I wanted so I went for it and came up with a look in charcoal that I never thought possible. It is good to keep an open mind when it comes to how certain materials should look. Just because that is the way you have always seen it done doesn't mean it's the only way it should be done. I hope you like.

Elegant! Graceful too. Silver point certainly comes to mind. Less can be more. I like.

Is it possible to "not" like something you do?

Very nice drawing.

Thank you Garth, Julie, Claudemir,

I appreciate your comments. I glad you like.

This one was quite different for me. I've never done one like it before or since. It's fun to put on a different suit once in a while. My desire is to see others experiments and efforts in growth even if they feel a bit foreign as this one does to me.
