New Gallery representation
1 Attachment(s)
Hello again
I have been very busy with too many non-art-related things recently and have not managed to post here for a while. I am currently working on a painting that has undergone many, many overhauls, and which I will post once it is complete. Just recently, though, I have been given the opportunity to show my work at the Noel Hodnett Gallery in Vancouver B.C., which is host to artists such as Anton Chapman, Lazso George, and Hiro Yamagata amongst others. I will participate in a group show this year and will work towards having a solo show in 2009. The gallery will be printing limited edition giclee prints on archival cotton paper or canvas in various sizes too, as an ongoing venture. Here's the link to the gallery: Noel Hodnett Gallery Hopefully this will be the start of something long-term. (p.s. I posted an older work form the year after my 4th year at university - just until I finally finish something new to post) |
Very exciting, congratulations!! It looks like a good place for your work!

That is such good news--congratulations, Thomasin! It looks like a good gallery for your work and I'm so pleased for you.

Thank-you very much Chris and Alex. I am hoping that, because of the other work the gallery shows, it will attract quite a bit of press interest, which is always helpful to one's career, isn't it?

Congratulations, Thomasin! It's a wonderful thing to have a gallery who believes in you. This is really exciting news - please keep us posted on what happens.

Good for you, Thomasin...congratulations. Wish you all the success in your upcoming shows and a fruitful relationship with this new gallery.
Very nice piece you posted, by the way. It has movement and even sound is implied--very intriguing. |
That's good news, Thomasin ! I'm very happy for you!

Thanks Linda, Carlos and Marina. And thank-you, Carlos, for commenting on the painting. I enjoy painting musical and theatrical themes. I just saw a production of Carmen this Sunday and was inspired to paint something along those lines once I am (finally) finished with my current painting. There were lots of jagged lines and wonderful reds in the sets, which might be a good challenge from the usual earth colours I paint with.

Congratulations Thomasin!

Thank-you Sharon and Debra.
