Not a problem Carlos. It was done on cotton canvas triple primed. Initial block in I used copal medium with linseed oil and a small portion of turp. I then added color alla prima-no medium.

Dianne,

I like your handling of the almost neutral colors, the quiet, low-contrast lighting, and the little bit of shimmer. You've caught something fleeting in her face, too. This is the kind of light that tends to make a very dull photo so I'm glad you painted it from life and were able to record all the subtle colors.

Yes, I'm glad I got to paint it mostly from life. I had a photo but I really couldn't (and didn't) do much from it when I got home, which is why her face lacks detail.
