Very nice drawing. Great values.
The results of workin from life are always so rich.

Very sensitive, beautiful drawing. Just like the head study you did of her. Your drawing brings to mind the great drawings of the academies of Europe of centuries past. Done with knowledge, skill, and PATIENCE.
Thank you for posting this.

Just beautiful, grounded, contemporary.
The little indecision in the hand tells us about your work and makes this drawing about you as much as about the subject.

Anna your work is becoming top notch. This is so well done that I had to bring Tony's book of the shelf and go through it again. I like your drawing so much that I'm at the moment doing a self portrait via the mirror, in pencil.
I really like your portrait studies as well. When things pick up here maybe in six months to a year, I would love to invite you and set up a workshop for you.

Oh Anna!

This is so wonderful! The legs being less described actually move! It was such a privilege to meet and attend a dinner with you at the PSOA Conference. You are an amazing talent.

Anna, this is really lovely. I am most impressed and inspired. You draw so well because you truly love the shapes you are drawing instead of just trying to get a clever effect. Did you especially like drawing the stomach? I love the way you got the softness there, as though your pencil was caressing the form as much as rendering it. You have a lovely, clear-sighted vision. As lovely to look at as a Durer.

Anna,

Your appreciation of the human form has a spiritual quality in this drawing. I'm particularly fascinated by the way your outline stays clearly delineated even after it is filled in and three-dimensional form is created. As my eye travels down from the face to her feet, I fill in the missing information in her lower body, which feels fully modeled even though it is merely outlined. I think it is because, when you draw these lines, you are not recording edges, but you are describing curves going around out of sight.

I love the way you have used pencil--my first favorite meduim.

Dear Anna,

This drawing is so exquisite - gorgeous.

This is absolutely stunning. I just looked at your website and am totally in love with your work. I have always admired Anthony Ryder also.
