I usually find that rapid portraits are my most spontaneous and probably successful

This is gorgeous, Margaret. Do you consider this "loose", "tight" or in between?

Hi Julie, for me this is quite tight! I'm usually after a more flowing painterly effect with pastels.
I'm glad I left it relatively unfinished though
