Hi...my name is Bjorn Thorkelson. I'll try to make this short and sweet. I'm 36 years old and after working as an illustrator for the past 10 yrs or so, I've been making the transition to the gallery market and loving it so far. It's been a year since I got into my first gallery, and I'm now showing in three. Wilcox Gallery in Jackson, Gasov & Gurule in Scottsdale and Sage Creek Gallery in Santa fe.

I've always loved to paint people and am putting together some work for portraiture in the future. It's fun to see what everyone is doing and I look forward to getting to know some of you.

Happy painting.

Hi Bjorn, welcome to the Forum! I love your painting. It's glowing with light and color, offset by the rich shadows, and all executed with such descriptive and confident brushwork. I'm looking forward to seeing what else you post here.

Love this painting Bjorn and also looking forward to seeing more. I'll have to visit the G&G gallery here in Scottsdale so I can view them in person.
I lived in Boise for 10 years and sure miss it. Hope to move back up there some day soon, as my kids still live there.
