Need help with Photoshop

This is a dumb and very elementary problem, but in Photoshop I have somehow converted my magnifying glass permanently to a reduction mode. So now my tool reduces by default rather than magnifying, and using the "Alt" button to change it back is a pain.

Believe it or not, none of my help books address how to switch it back to a magnifying default mode.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Tom

When the Zoom Tool is active, up on your options bar, (upper left, just under the menu bar) you should have two little windows that show two little magnifying glass icons, one positive, one negative. Simply click on the positive one. And when the Zoom Tool is set to positive, hitting the Alt key will switch it temporarily to negative.

- Unless you have an ancient version of Photoshop (before Photoshop 5 - before the options bar appeared)...in which case, I can't remember where it is to change it. :)

David, thanks!

I probably switched it sometime when mindlessly flailing around, and as expected, the fix was a snap...I just could't locate it.
