Figure in blue hat

Hello - This is a nude I did just recently that I am quite pleased with.

So am I.

T'is the dreaded to some - holiday season, so things take a bit longer to get to.

I think it is beautifully designed with the blue hat echoing the curves of her body. The color is interesting. I am trying to work with a lighter palette on the skin-tones, and it is quite difficult.

Thank-you, Sharon. I am very pleased you think positively about it! I was considering asking you to take a look and comment as I am most inspired by your latest works - the dancers with the wonderful economy of brushstroke you have, your perfect conception of the figure in its background, as well as the consistency of feeling and workmanship with every element in the picture.

Nice Thomasin!

I lke the atmospheric haze and the implied tortional movement. I'm trying to squint and imagine what she sees over behind her.

Garth

Thank-you Garth. I couldn't help you with what is in the background. I always seem to clear out everything from it until it is as much a mystery to me as anyone else!
