First oil

Hi,
this is the first time I use oil at the open studio.
The first picture is after the first 2H15min session, the second is after 2H15min more. They changed the light so I had to rework a lot the shadow side, even completely change the hight light in the eye.

Next week, we will have an extra 30 min on the same pose, so advices welcome on what I should work first... ( hope the light will be the same!)

Gee Marina!

That is A GREAT start. You are taking to this like a canard to water!

I would check the position of his ears.

Great loose paint handling.

Formidable!

Are you sure that is your first oil?

That's great!

Chapeau

Thanks Sharon!
I'm a good student . :sunnysmil .I read carefully the books of Roberta Carter Clark, and Harold Speed just before the first session, and began the painting very concentrate .

Hi Bonfim!
well, you know that's not really the first oil of my life... But it was the first time I dare bring my paint to the open studio : it was a bit impressive at the beginning, but I had nothing to prove to the others, only to myself, so I did it.
Thanks!

Ilaria,
thank you for the comment.
I still have trouble to believe that I made so much during so few hours. I'm very exited when I think to what will look like the next one !
