Nevada Governor Finalist
 

A couple of months ago I got a call from the Nevada Arts Council asking me to submit a proposal for the portrait of the Governor of Nevada. They received 38 proposals from various artists and I found out today that I'm one of three finalists.

I'll be going to Nevada in a few weeks to meet the Governor and the First Lady and they'll make a decision sometime after that as to which artist they'd like to commission to create his official portrait.

What a great experience Michele. They certainly don't mind putting the public, competitive heat on you guys. This kind of commission work is not for sissies.

Carson City is just an hours car ride from Lake Tahoe, one of the most beautiful spots on earth. A great place to celebrate after winning this commission. Best of luck.
