Dear artists,

I'm proud to unveil the finished work of these two sweet old ladies. Done in about three days, 8 hours each, I'm happy to be able to put Mei on paper and let more people appreciate her beauty for generations to come. For her contributions to the nation, I hope to continue to work to glorify women like her in my future artworks.

For now, I'd like everyone to enjoy her beauty. You're the first to see this finished work :)

You really captured the feeling of these two interesting subjects. I find myself smiling with them and feeling their joy. Such emotion is hard to capture in any drawing and you did it beautifully.

There's so much personality and feeling in this, Marcus. It turned out great! I think the head size difference has been resoved brilliantly. Don't take this wrong, because I love the faces, but I also love the blank space on the right-hand side. Leaving that space works so well.

I'm glad my new work brightens up your moods in what's left of your day (it's 9.30am in Singapore as we speak) And for those brightened moods i felt in you, it makes my morning even brighter.

And Alex, you're seeing a wonderful work of art because of your continued support and contributions in my earlier thread, as well as other threads you've been for others. So with all these things i've learnt i continue to share them with you, so you can make your works even more interesting, and bringing the notch up higher for your art.

Tribute to these remarkable women
 

I called up my gallery curator yesterday afternoon, and spoke to her about my portrait work on Mei and Loi. They were excited and thought it's a nice way to pay tribute to Samsui women - the women construction workers. So we've decided to display it at the gallery on Nov 7 for more people to appreciate and re-connect with this wonderful Samsui woman
