G'day from Australia

G'day all,

My name is Conway and I am brand new to the world of portraiture having spent most of my artistic life concentrating on military and aviation themes. Being an Army helicopter pilot, I guess that's par for the course.

Recently I entered Australia's most prestigious portraiture award but did not reach the finals. After the painting, I swore; 'Never again!', but I have since decided that I am now addicted.

I've done a couple of portrait commissions, the most recent which was a surprise for the recipient who was brought to tears (or so his wife claims).

Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing everyone else's work and learning from veterans and newcomers.

Cheers
Conway

Conway,

Welcome to the forum! Not only is it inspiring to see what other artists are doing, but also it's a lot of fun to communicate with people in other parts of the U.S. and all over the world.

I hope you will post some of your work.

Alex

Hello from Singapore

G'day neighbour! (geographically speaking...)
It's a pleasure to have you on board! And fyi, i'm fascinated by those giant machines that you're flying! It's really amazing to see such huge things flying around Singapore skies.
Hope to hear more from you!

Gidday, Conway.
Welcome from another Aussie. ( Byron Bay) You are almost as far away from me as the rest of the folk here.!

I liked your work very much, and look forward to seeing you post on the forum.

Just don't go troppo in the meantime. :D
