Hi Allan,
I don't use any other thing but I don't use as many cadmiuns as you do and my paintings get dry enough to be framed in one week. |
Bonfim,
Thank you for your reply. Do you use Flake White ? Actually I don |
Just Titanium and Zinc.
I wait for a week to get it dry just for security matters, usually four days are enough to get the paintings framed. Why don't you try Permalba white? It's creammy but dries faster than some other whites. |
I don't like drying mediums because they smell bad and usually are unhealthy.

Thanks again Bonfim,
now I have tried the walnut oil on a pair of small landscapes today and I must say that it |
It has been more than two weeks now and my small landscapes are dry to the touch.
I think that I will add some drying medium to the white paint, before I start painting, in the future. The drying time is simply too long for my temper if I have to wait several weeks for the paint to dry. For painting "alla prima " it is perfect using only Walnut oil. I really liked using it for the landscapes. But for painting in layers I like to be sure that the paint is dry in a few days. Bonfim, what is Permalba White? You say that it dries faster than Titanium/ Zinc ? Allan |
