Hi guys,
This is a charcoal piece i did recently in A3 size drawing pad. I did this while taking an hour break from painting, and i thoroughly felt refreshed from doing it! :)
I've learnt so much from artists here, who have selflessly given their best criticisms and encouragement. This piece is my tribute to these folks! I couldn't have done it without you.

This has a great energy to it, good thing you only had an hour. Overworking can lose it's spontaneity.

Nice character study. Reminds me of all the ones Rembrandt used to do.

Thanks for the feedback :)
What Jimmie just mentioned, reminds me of something i read in an art magazine: that with limited time, one often is being forced to abandon all technical awareness, and merely to paint/draw in their truest nature. I have Jimmie to thank for that reminder!

Hi Marcus -

Nice job - very effortless feeling. Feels fresh and lifelike.

Dang! It's too bad more people don't want their portraits drawn like this! This is a real drawing. Nice.

Thanks for the compliment, Jen!

Yeah, i do think more people should want to have portraits like this...that'll be great!

This is an excellent portrait in my view! It is expressive, stylish and original.

Thanks Lon,
I'm glad you liked it. :)
