Higher thoughts and prayer request.
 

My dear friend and often participant of this forum - Carl Toboika, is just beginning a journey with cancer.

He will know soon if he can have the operation needed to help in his healing, if he is operable he will have a 60% chance of the cancer never returning. On the 12th of this month he will also have further test to see if it has spread beyond the current area, he will receive those results on the 20th.

Carl is one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Not only is he a very talent artist, he is extremely generous with his time, and has a sense of humor that can rock the world. He also loves adventure and is so dedicated to his family.

Please keep him in your thoughts, prayers or whatever it is you do.

I'm devastated by this news. Carl is an outstanding person blessed with tremendous talent and great humanity. The world is a far better place because of his presence. Getting to know him personally has been a true blessing for me. I pray for his speedy and full recovery.

All of us who have had the pleasure of an extended critique from Carl (I must say handholding on my part) knows what a kind and most generous person he is.

We are with you Carl, in thoughts and prayers and as tough as you are - you will have the great spirit to stand up to this large challenge. I pray that you have great doctors and support staff to lean on through your treatment - and you know the portrait community will be behind you. Through the miles and cyber waves - I am thinking of you each day.
