Miniature Nr.4
Hello!
Here is my 4th miniature. She is my wife. Dimensions: 3" x 3,4" on plexiglas. Time about 4 hrs. Now, I'm in trouble to post the reference picture. I organize my PC always good, but just now I cannot find it. On weekend, I've more time to search. Big sorry!:sunnysmil So it is hard to critique, but next week, I promise. P.S.: To Linda, I think Karen was not so amused about my idea..:( (very British, isn't?:)) Cheers! |
Leslie, this is my favorite of yours so far. Nicely done. Do you work on clear plexiglass? If you hold it up to the light does the painting glow?
I also work on plastic (white, not clear) but I could never work this small. |
Hello!
Thank you! All this painted on black plexiglass, grounded with white acrylic. I have clear plexi, too, but have not tested it for the "glowing effect", though it sounds interesting. Leslie |
Hi Leslie,
This is very interesting. I admire your ability to get such detail on such a small scale. Do you use a magnifying glass when you work? How do you keep your hand so steady? Do you find that the paint scratches off the plexiglass? I apologize for all the questions, but I've never seen this technique used before. Mary |
Hello!
Thank you Mary! I've had many troubles with larger formats:(. It is ground plexiglass, which behaves the same as other smooth panels. Almost nothing can damage plexi. How do I keep my hand so steady? It is placed on the table. I work on a table, not vertically. Here is more info for your questions. http://forum.portraitartist.com/show...0&pagenumber=2 I found my picture, here is it: |
