News coverage re Patt Legg's portrait
|
;) Hello all,
Well, here I am as usual. I was pleasantly surprised to go to my e-mail and Cynthia had asked us to post portraits. I assume I am in the correct spot here as this is where she pointed us. But here is my question: Cynthia, how did you get the news from my local area on this site? No matter, as I was very pleased to see it. I have been away from the site for awhile now, as I will go into at a later date. Meanwhile, I am posting Lt. John Crisci. Of course since the news article -- on that 1st anniversary of the 9-11 tragedy, I have met Raffaella Crisci, John's widow. She flew here to accept the portrait. We had a wonderful 2 1/2 day visit and a great reception in a nearby Country Inn with approximately 60-70 people attending including local firefighters and our Mayor who presented Mrs. Crisci a key to our city. I may post more later if OK about the reception but not sure how to post a news article in small format. Thanks all, Patt |
I apologize for not giving the following information first. Oil, 40" x 30".
Lt. John Crisci was founder and member of the Haz Mat Co. He was just going home from his days work when he heard the news of the tragedy. He immediately went to the site and began to help but not before telling one of his new rookies to say in the truck for now. This new rookie has claimed that Lt. Crisci saved his life that day but lost his own. Lt. Crisci has been a hero more than once as he saved a little girl from a raging fire in another instance. Well I am going to attempt to send her information via a news article. |
