Hi, Hanna,

I haven't been around for a while myself, so perhaps I haven't missed any of your posts. These are very lovely and evocative, which is not surprising, given the quality of pastels you've shown us in the past.

Your transition to oils is not only successful, but it's obvious that you're having fun with them, which makes the pictures all the more fun for the viewer.

By the way, while waiting for the paint to dry enough for a final varnish, you can even out the gloss/matte variations with a light spray of retouch varnish. If you can't find it locally in a spray can, there are various types of aspirators or other devices to convert liquid retouch varnish into a mist.

Nice to see your work again.

Cheers

Hanna,

I'd say this is a very serious oil painting project. I like your number three very much. I especially like the paint running down the wall.

Oh, it is good to be back! And you know that it is because of you I'm making progress...

My apologies though that the quality of the images aren't better. I really need a new digital camera. (I think I will get one for Christmas. I can't wait.)

Thanks for the tips on retouch warnish Steven. I really appreciate all the help I can get! :sunnysmil
