Saying Hello
 

Hi everyone,

I just joined the Forum a few days ago. Last week I was fortunate enough to take a workshop with Bill Whitaker, and met a bunch of wonderful people, many of whom are already on board. Among them are: Chris Saper, Linda Tracey Brandon, Michele Rushworth, Michael Georges, and others.

I'm not a pro or even close, but I aspire to become better at what I love to do - capture what's behind a subject's eyes, in paint.

Anyhow, thanks for letting me join!

I'm so glad to see you're coming onto the Forum. We can use your good eye and great sense of humor. Now, go on down to the bottom of the Forum Home page and post that workshop painting of yours, okay? We want to tell you (again!) how good it is.

for the warm welcome.

You don't want me to post that workshop portrait (either of them). They're still in the chicken pox stage :) I decided to leave them that way to better observe the process. I wish you would send me a pic of your dog painting. I really love that!

I thought of that as soon as I submitted it. :bewildere You know how confused I am.
Silly girl. I just didn't think of you because I was trying to make sure I would remember the ones I might not remember. (Honestly, this makes perfect sense to me).

I'm not yet bold enough to post one of my paintings! The two I started in Bill's class (who is, BTW the consummate instructor) I have left unfinished, so that I can better see the process.

Maybe when I've been "around" awhile I'll feel confident enough to actually post a painting.
