Administrator's Note: The following is part of a post by Linda that was made in another thread. Members started posting condolences, so it has been moved over here.
My dad died today. He has been declining and had been in a nursing home for three weeks, but it's still a shock. I will probably not be doing much painting for the next few days. But I'll be back when things get back to normal and I finish this.

Linda,

I am very sorry to hear of your loss.

Best Regards,
Enzie

Thank you Jeff, Sharon and Enzie. I'm feeling a little more at ease with the new circumstances today. It will be alright. We all die, it was his time. We will get our chance.

Thanks again for your thoughts. I just thought you should know, if I sound a little distracted.

I have enough difficulty with this mode of communication as it is. I appreciate getting feedback from you all. Thank you for being there.

Putting on my 'Priest Hat' ...

Yes, we will all indeed get our own chance. And my only hope is that when my time comes I'll look back and see that I've lived fully and loved well. The many wonderful friends I've made since I started drawing and painting will have contributed greatly to both, and I count you among their number Linda. You've been a gracious and giving mentor in the past year and I send my deepest condolences.

Thank you Carolyn, Jeanine, and Minh. Your kind words are greatly appreciated. These things are always sooo complex, but I am ok. Thank you so much for caring. I "do" count you people among my friends.
