Learning style

I was going to send this as a private message to Sharon Knettell, but the more I thought about my message to her and the more it evolved it occurred to me that it was really a message on learning styles. So I hoped others would share theirs.

Sharon was in a conversation with I think Tim, regarding the priming of panels and I saw this quote,

Quote:

This is from "Artist's Manual, A Complete Guide to Painting and Drawing Materials and Techniques" published by Harper Collins in 1995 and published again in 1996, by Chronicle Books www.chroniclebooks.com.
This is where my learning memories come in!

After I received my BFA, I think like many people here I went back to art school to study advertising design so I could make money. I finished that second degree in 1980, so that would make me now about 25, (20 years ago)! You must remember when we graduated in graphic design we still had numerous T-squares, non photo blue pencils, rapid-o-graphs and hot press board. Things were very different.

Not 3 years later the introduction of the computer to the mainstream of advertising started occurring, and by 1988 I purchased my first IICI Macintosh

I really enjoyed reading about you, and your message was very enjoyable. I am going to go check out the book!
