Who remembers Helen?
 

Who out there remembers, what I believe to be arguably the best art instructional series television has produced. I refer to the late, great HELEN VAN WYK's "Welcome to my Studio".

(Here's another occasion when I have to retreat from my conceit of being "self-taught", as I learned more from Helen than from any other source to date.)

Her approach, primarily to portraiture, was (and IS) inspirational. Her show has long since left my area, and even with the advent of satelite TV, I still cannot find her!

I would give much to see her show again! "Start on time, and keep the flame low".
