St Jude Hospital friendship

This 8x10 pencil portrait of a child and a nurse from St Jude Hospital was commissioned by the nurse from a cell photo as a gift for the child. I used a Blackwing pencil which is 4B on Canson pure-white paper.

Thanks, Richard. Since the subject of this drawing could feel depressing, I tried to make the edges and the pencil strokes feel especially alive.
