Hallo from Milano (Italy)

Hi to all from Adriano
I don't speake English fluently,so sometimes I may be misunderstood or I may seem a bit rude as I don't master the language.
I'd like to learn how to improve in oil painting and I'm sure that here I'll certainly find the help I need.
Thanks to everybody
Adriano

Adriano,

If you think you have problems with English, you should hear my Italian.

From the drawing I saw you do on the Cafe Guerbois, I can see you are going to be a very, very welcome addition to this Forum. It is beautiful!

Alexandra Tyng 03-21-2006 09:25 AM

Ciao, Adriano! That certainly is a beautiful drawing you posted in the Cafe section. Please post more!

Welcome Adriano,
I went to see your work and liked it very much.

Adriano Maggi 03-21-2006 05:35 PM

Hi Marina
I didn't think you would like it becouse you are realistic and everybody here doesn't seem to appreciate impressionism very much.
Ciao
Adriano

Adriano,

It IS my favorite form of art.

Check out my "Alicia Blue" . "Green Dakini" in Unveilings for the Professional" and "Dakini" in Nude Unveilings.

I don't mean to push my own work, but these pieces were much inspired by impressionism. They may not be what you were thinking, but they were the best I could do.

Also check out Linda Brandon's work.

Adriano,

Sorry for being late in welcoming you. Just saw the drawings you

Adriano,
I think I like it because -1: It's beautiful, -2: I'm not able to do the same. Even when I decide to work in a loose style, I always finish doing thin details...So I really admire what seems to be very difficult for me.

Adriano Maggi 03-22-2006 09:22 AM

Hi Carlos
I think that charcoal and sanguine require no technique at all !
Just the use of your finger!
You can do any painting you want from the photo.
Ciao

Hi Marina
I'm not responsable for my " skill "in drawing, I dont' even know
how get people to learn it. That's different for pastel and the oil technique .I'll post soon a pastel to show you how
to obtain vivid colours by complementary use of pastels.
Ciao

Welcome Adriano,
I will enjoy seeing your work on this forum. Your pastels and oil paintings are beautiful. I am a great fan of Impressionism and admire anyone who has command of this style, and you certainly do.

Hi Patricia
I'm here just to improve my oil technique. I did'nt paint very much in oil
and I used pastels most of the time.

Have you seen the Horse I worked on?

Ciao Adriano!

Welcome. I love the fresh look of your pastels on your website.

I have never actually been to Milano, but once played an early role as sculptor of the large Horse inspired by Leonardo da Vinci that is now displayed in the Cultural Park outside Milano. Have you ever seen this? I would love your review, as I never got to the sculpture's unveiling in 1999.

On page 4, post 33, of my Forum introduction, I have posted an image of the colossal Horse as I sculpted it and proposed it for your great city; originally imagining it might fit inside the mighty walls of the Castello Sforzesco. This looks very different than the Horse that was delivered.

It is a treat to have you here as part of our Forum world family, and I look forward to seeing more of your posts.

Garth

Ciao Adriano,

Welcome to our forum I hope that here you can find all that you wish and also friends..

Adriano Maggi 03-23-2006 09:45 AM

Hi Garth
Thanks for your appreciation, I din't know you yere working on this project.
The horse is in the some place where it was unveiled I suppose.
I remember discussions on T.V. in 1999, about where they should put it. But I can't see the difference from the one you have projected.
I'm looking farword for your posting
Ciao
