Molly Williams
Hi there.
I am having a party. . . Well, okay, maybe its not a party, but Bill and Sandra Whitaker are over here for dinner. Bill is finally showing me how to figure out this forum. Let me introduce myself. I am 26 years old. I paint children's portraits. My website is www.mollywilliams.com (Bill takes over...) And she's a REALLY GOOD COOK TOO. Sandra and I grow fat. Rebecca Jacobson, Molly's roommate is here too. She's a wonderful illustrator. I'm very happy, full of good food and around inspiring art. Check out Molly's site. Her work is even better in life. (Molly takes over . . .) I am excited to be on this forum. I hope that I can add some insight and gain some also. |
Hi Molly,
Welcome to the forum. From looking at your site I say: Let |
Hi Molly! (I've met Molly, she is a FANTASTIC painter and a really good person as well.) Please post often on the Forum, I love seeing your face here!
|
Dear Molly,
I have heard such nice things about you and your work, it is a pleasure to have you here! |
Hi Molly, Your work is fabulous! I look forward to seeing more. Welcome. :)
|
Molly, I do think you were mentioned at Bill's recent workshop in AZ - he is obviously very proud of you!
Nice to have you here! |
Hi Molly,
I love the sensitive children's portraits on your website! I look forward to your contributions here. [A funny coincidence: I am 26 also, so I looked at your profile and your birthdate is exactly three days after mine!] Anna |
Welcome Molly!
Lovely work on your website--looking forward to seeing more! :sunnysmil |

Thanks
Thanks to all of you. I am excited to learn more from you all and develop some relationships. So, I see that there is another 26 year old on here. We young girls need to help each other grow.
Ha ha, the main reason that I haven't spent much time on there before is because I am afraid that it will be addicting. I just quit my part time job a couple months ago and am painting full-time, and I find that everything and everybody thinks that since I work for myself that I can take off work when ever I want and go play. It can be hard to not let the wieght of bills, friends, networking, and business keep us away from what we enjoy the most and what is our real work: painting everyday. molly |
Hi Molly, welcome.
Went to your site, like your work very much. The portrait of the boy with the hat, Isaac(?) looks a little bit like me when I was a little kid, but that was over 26 years ago. |
Welcome Molly! Love your work.
|
Molly, I was 26 yesterday, and all of a sudden today I'm 38,I still can't figure how it happened!
And you are right, it is addicting over here, but a bit of browsing will just put you in the mood for painting... Ilaria |
Welcome Molly,
I hate to tell you how many years ago I was 26...so I won't. From what I hear you are just as lovely on the inside as you are on the outside. That is a winning combination. Keep painting AND marketing. You have talent and will do well. i wish you every success. |
Molly - your work is stunning; so nice to have you here.
Good for you to be able to take the plunge at 26 into full time painting by giving up your day job. I'm still hanging on to that security blanket! |
Heidi, I looked at your website, and, wow, I love it! Your bronze sculptures are great.
|
Welcome, Molly! We hope to hear from you often here on the Forum.

Hey, Michele, since I am new to this forum, what does FT professional mean in your title above your picture?
|
Hi Molly and Welcome,
You're in very good company with Bill! I've just browsed your website and I simply adored those lovely kids. I have lots of friends in Utah, maybe some day I'll go skiing nearby. |
Ps.
FT means FULL TIME and I'm a Part-time painter.
|
FT Professional means I am a full time professional portrait artist. You'll also see some people with PT which means part time.
|
Molly,
Your work is fabulous. There is nothing better than doing what you love as a profession. Simon |

Dear Molly, Hi. 'Just joined today myself. I couldn't help, but be quite impressed with the work on your site. Nicely done!! Of course some of the teachers, and friends you've had couldn't have hurt either. Henceforth, I'll be anxously reading any of your posts. -Best, Albert |
Dear Molly,
Welcome! What a talent you have! I do remember your "Isaac" on the big screen at the PSOA conference and being justifiably moved by it. Hopefully (most likely) your actual work will be displayed this next time, in Dallas. I'd love to see it. I just toured your website. It's terrific, and very thoughtfully designed. Actually it is tastefully understated, because it's your exemplary work that makes it sing, along with the rich links content of your top notch teachers, mentors and good friends. Of your friends I've known David Kassan too, and yes, it is an invigorating and enlightening experience to tour a museum like the Met with him. He's highly recommended. And so are You! Do participate here, you are a rare asset, from my perspective. Best wishes for your continued success, Garth PS: And oh my goodness, what a talented, inspired Portrait Photographer you are! Simply breathtaking! |
Garth, Thank you for your kind words. I am so pleased that people like my website. I bought the domain name two years ago, and have been designing it since then. I designed the whole site in Photoshop over those two years. Man! it is difficult making something beautiful, yet functional, and trying to figure out what pictures to use, what to write, how to say it, what is too much, what is too personal, what should the captions say, will people get annoyed if they have to scroll down, etc. etc. My "web guy" Connor took my design and swiftly converted it to both HTML and FLASH. He did such a good job and was so fast, and inexpensive! So, if any of you need a "web guy" let me know and I will get you in contact with him.
I would have loved to see "Isaac" on that big screen in Boston! You know, that made my year to have "Isaac" win that award. Not only is it one of my favorite portraits, but it is also my nephew. I haven't much participated in this forum. I think it is quite intimidating. My problem is: I always have a view, a comment on everything, but it is scary to voice those over the Internet where (with communication being only text that could easily be misconstrued) I might highly likely look like a fool. Also, I tend to ramble. . . . I don |
Don't be intimidated about posting here, Molly. The exceptional quality of your work gives your words instant credibility. And yes, rambling is definitely allowed, as you can see by many posts. A great number of the ones that ramble on the most are mine!
|
Molly,
Greetings and welcome from all the way over here. Just went through your website. You sure you |
