Alexandra, I don't have a method that I can say I follow, but normally I study the background and the subject to determine the orientation of the patterns and the shapes of the forms I use to build the image. In my world both background and subject fuse into one organic form. I hope that didn't sound too "artsy." :D

I haven't been able to post anything for days.

It's a very time consuming ordeal to try to post in this forum. Sorry folks.

I have only been able to post here. Everywhere else just gives me back error messages. I reaaly don't want to waste my time typing, pasting links and images. I sent an email about it last week, no reply yet. 'Sorry for any spelling errors.

Welcome! I understand your frustration - I just tried to post some images with no results. It usually is not like this - honest. Apparently some technical problems.
