Hello,

I am delighted to finally be accepted into this wonderful forum, after browsing for a long time.

I have been painting just three years, so you can imagine how much I have yet to learn. I have a long way to go before I could call myself a portrait artist, although I do love to paint people most.

Thank you for accepting me. I look forward to asking a lot of questions.

Cheers,

Tricia

Welcome to the Forum, Tricia! I really like your work and I look forward to seeing more of it. Feel free to jump in anywhere on any thread. :)

Tricia Migdoll 06-20-2005 05:42 AM

Thank you for the welcome Linda. It is good to be here.

Congratulations on the PSOA prize. I saw you there along with Garth Herrick , David Kassan & Chris Saper - all getting an honourable mention.

What an inspiration you all are for the like of myself.

Hi Tricia! Looks like you are well on your way to calling yourself a portrait artist. Welcome to the forum. :)

Hi Tricia--so good to see you here :sunnysmil
Welcome!

Hello Tricia:

I believe we once met at a garden party given by the Beckwiths. I apologize again for the disturbance I created. One always assumes these baby grands have wheel locks. I was surprised how long it floated in the pool before it sank.

In any event welcome to the forum. Look forward to seeing more of your excellent work.

Hi Tricia!
I'm glad to finally see you here! Welcome!
Maria

Dear Scott.
Oh Yes, I remember it well. That was some graceful dance you did.
The Beckwiths often ask after you, mostly with a pained look on their face, except for mother Agatha. Her eyes twinkle at the sound of your name.

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

Allan Rahbek 06-20-2005 06:24 PM

Tricia,
I would also like to welcome you to the forum. I hope that you will elaborate a bit more on Scott

Hi Tricia, if this is your work only after three years you have been very busy in this time. Your work is lovely. Welcome to the forum, it is a great place to learn all sorts of things.

We should catch up some time, I live in Toowoomba, about 5 hours north of you. You can email me if you like.

Tricia Migdoll 06-26-2005 03:19 AM

Thanks Cindy,

Thanks Ngaire.
Yes, I will email you. I have a friend in Toowoomba you may know.
Artist and art teacher at TAFE, Patrick Petein.?

Ngaire Winwood 06-26-2005 05:22 AM

Tricia, I have not met him but I think he teaches graphic art at TAFE, is that right?

Alexandra Tyng 06-27-2005 08:39 PM

Hi Tricia,

Welcome to the forum! I joined a short time ago and I'm enjoying it very much. It looks like you have accomplished a lot in the short time you've been painting, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you do next!

Alex

Tricia Migdoll 06-28-2005 06:22 AM

Thanks Alexandra,

I am very impressed from what i have seen from you also.

I am still wading through and getting to know you all by your wonderful work.

I am afraid I am very passionate in this new journey. I am trying to "keep a lid on it," as they say in Oz. I guess I will find my feet here eventually. ;)

Kimberly Dow 06-28-2005 01:18 PM

You look vaguely familiar. ;)

Welcome Tricia!

Tricia Migdoll 06-29-2005 02:52 AM

That's odd, Kim - so do you. :D

Mikael Melbye 07-07-2005 04:07 AM

Dear Tricia,

A warm welcome from me as well. I joined only recently, and am enjoying the company and knowledge of this wonderful group of people immensely.

Like Allan (who is a fellow viking) I'm really curious of the grand piano story, so please...please do tell!

By the way, your work looks fabulous, so you'll probably be telling us a thing or two too!!

Best wishes

Mikael

PS: bu the way my mom lives in Townsville, is that near you?

Alicia Kornick 07-07-2005 10:10 AM
