Tony received the American National Award of Excellence, the top prize at the Oil Painters of America's national show in Chicago this past week.

Tony's entry was "Mother's Love" (Tony wouldyou mind posting the image here?)

Thank you all so much for your wonderful support. This was a huge surprise to me getting this. I am amazed that Dan chose my painting over so many amazing pieces of art at this show...

It was a very emotional evening for me up there...

What an inspiring weekend... saw loads of Sargents and other great pieces of artwork at the Chicago Museum of Art.

I will post my painting when I get home as I am on dial up internet access here.

Home tomorrow night and then back on the road Thursday to Washington DC to meet most of you... I can't wait!!!!!

Is the show online somewhere? The gallery it is being held at is only showing a few pieces of the better-known artists like D. Greene and Weistling. I'd love to see it all!
