I received my latest copy of International Artist magazine today and lo and behold, on page 35, is a portrait by our longtime Forumite, Elizabeth Schott.

Oh thank you guys! I was going to wait and reply after I actually saw the magazine, but Linda - it must just be those guys that take the huge awards - that get theirs first!

I am just praying the image reproduced well!

I just got my issue today. The painting looks great. Congratulations! I hope this recognition is the precursor of bigger and better things to come.

I've been away from this forum and haven't talked to you in awhile so you can imagine my surprise when I came here tonight and saw this thread that Tom started!!

And to think, we knew you when.... ehehhehe!! I am seriously impressed and so proud of you! I guess your faith in that portrait has always been on the right path - congratulations and we will catch up later! I have not seen the magazine yet - and I may have had heart failure if I hadn't seen this before I flipped through the pages and accidentally saw it!

Thanks Beth. She is doing just great. She is in the "NO" phase right now and we have our hands full. Also we are expecting another one! Sometime in May...so there will be even less time to do some work..well, at least for now. Congratulations again.

Congratulations! That's a fine magazine whose repros always look top quality. I just got my issue, and I missed your name the first time through. Upon looking at it now, though; how could I have missed it the first time? The portrait looks terrific --- well deserved.

Ah, they grow up so fast! When do you want to model Beth? The shows the Feb 12th. It would be fun to see if people recognize you.

I KNEW you were destined for serious recognition, and I'm so glad to have witnessed your receiving it. Your passion, and tireless dedication to your craft is humbling and inspirational. Wonderful news! That has always been my favorite painting of yours! Seeing it in person was a treat for the eyes and now I'll have to run out to buy a copy. Congratulations and YOU GO GIRL! Score one for the Jerry's Kids! :thumbsup:
