Rest

Carl,

I am so glad to read that the operation went successfully. I will pray for a full recovery. Resting is probably boring but the best thing for you now.

I'm up and down the Studio stairs OK now and I wanted to personally thank everyone for all their kind wishes and many prayers. I know that was a very big help to me and I am grateful to you all.

I'll know in about a month as to the degree of the surgeries success. Meanwhile I can now get to some painting bit by bit, :) :) :) and take some time to read and catch up here on what I have missed.

Again, I deeply appreciate the kindness everyone has shown me, I hope you all receive back the many blessings you have sent my way. Thank you all, I get stronger every day now, and life is good again.

Welcome Back !

Dear Carl,

You have made our day. Welcome back. My friend, who is also recovering sends her regards.

And you are receiving, from our corner of the world, a warm hug.

Magdalena

A woven work or art

 For you Carl. I haven't been here for awhile and checked out this thread first.

God Bless and prayer uplifts----I, along with the others will await your soon to be painting to be posted. With the Best artist and creator on your side----you cannot lose. If you could see the birds nest that I collected woven within stalks of wheat in our pasture. It is over 20 years old. I have kept it in a vase "a woven work of art" by the smallest creature. What better way to see who is in control.

I wish sprinkles of sunshine to you and yours.

Patt

Guys,
I just wanted to let you know that my first test (an important one) after the operation has come back good. I will have to be retested every 3 months for awhile and then every so often for some years. At least it is a good start. I am feeling pretty darn good now.

I want to deeply thank everyone for the concern, helpful thoughts and prayers. :)

Geary Wootten 10-20-2004 11:56 AM

Carl,

I just want to say thanks so much for sharing this story of your cancer and now hopeful recovery. This has especially touched me since I nearly died 9 months ago of a massive heart attack. The whole volumes of "second chances" and "extra innings" , etc., etc. are speaking loudly in my being as I'm sure they are in yours. What a wonderful gift we have in being able to share a little while longer....is it not? ;)

Continued Prayers and Blessings,
Geary

Hi Carl,
What a suprise to see your post. Just the other day, maybe Monday, you came into my thoughts. I offered up prayers for you then. And today, here you are. Guess the prayers today will be of thanksgiving. Very good news. Glad you are feeling good, too!!!!! Have you had the energy or time yet to get back to painting?? Hope so...

Marvin Mattelson 10-20-2004 12:15 PM

Great news Carl. I'm so happy to hear you're feeling stronger as well as having received a good medical report. Sick or well we all need to be grateful for each day. I look forward to seeing some paintings now. Take care.

Carl Toboika 10-20-2004 12:27 PM

Thanks Marvin, I'll ring you up to catch up at some point.

Michele Rushworth 10-20-2004 12:35 PM

Carl, I'm so glad you're doing better and you've cleared the latest hurdle. Looking forward to seeing more of your work, too!

Sharon Knettell 10-20-2004 12:44 PM

Carl,

I am glad to hear your news. I hope to see you post soon.

I broke my leg 7 years ago, and could not paint for a while. I know it is not in the same category, but even that made me appreciate simple things, like just going for a walk or holding a brush.

Michele Rushworth 10-20-2004 01:14 PM

Sharon, you paint with your foot? If it will make me paint as well as you do, I'll have to try that!

Me too Michele, but it's a real problem since mine is usually in my mouth!

Mended Wings

So are we on to finish the faerie drangonfly painting?

Glad you are doing better, but my prayers are still with you!

Jean Kelly 10-21-2004 12:13 AM

So good to hear!

Carl,

Medicine is truly amazing these days. I'm so happy for you, and looking forward to your next post.

Jean
