Thanks for your compliments Alex. I have to, though, give the credit to Chris and to blurb.com itself for the suggestion of a published portfolio - it wasn't my own idea at all! I will work on the portfolio for a few months still as I am getting some work back from a gallery and need to take new photos of them, and also I want to get a few more new works done to add to the portfolio before I make an actual book of images. Thanks very much for your interest, though, Alex. It is really appreciated.

Hi,
this is a great site. Does anybody know if it is possible to make publications in a foreign language such as danish?

Chris Saper 01-02-2008 07:54 PM

Most likely! Here's one from the Netherlands:)

Spell check might be a little shaky though:)

Here are couple more - one Spanish, one French.

Thank you, Chris, it's perfect.

I think that I manage without spell check in my own language. ;)

Microsoft Word has a language tool that can check for grammar and spelling in many languages, including Danish.

I use it regularly when writing in Spanish and have generally been pleased with the results.

It does a fine job but there is one problem that I see regularly: it doesn't find homonym mistakes - that is, it doesn't catch words that sound alike but are spelled differently, such as "great/grate". I just ran a spell check on these sentences:
"That is grate! That is a grate piece."
The spell check didn't catch the problem.
So - Microsoft Word is fine, and I'd recommend using it for this and other projects, with the one caveat.
