Wow, I think it's time for me to renew my art history education. Netflix here I come.

Oh what great information. I 'm glad now that I didn't cancel that Netflix subscription.

When I was eighteen I spent a year in Europe with a Eurail pass and a backpack. Michelangelo's David changed my life. I remember standing there staring at him with tears streaming down my face, I expected him to breathe. That's the moment I knew I wanted to be an artist.

It's been a long and winding road, but I had a very similar experience when I saw the Sargent show in Washington six or seven years ago. My heart was pounding.

It's the art that reaches my emotions that I consider great. If I could only make one person's heart pound with my painting I would die happy.
