Yes! I love the surprising, slightly outrageous texture of the faux-fur shirt! The softening of the shadow edge looks good, too. I never would have thought of putting a stripe in the background, but it works well, and also goes with the directional strokes you used. It's coming along really well.

Hey Lacey, I think you've done a fantastic job of this one. I liked your decision to change the shirt, it's more interesting and gives the overall artwork a different feel, definitely positive. The stripe works nicley also (don't worry about ripping me off, I've been influenced by many people, if it works, it works). Congrats. I think it's your best yet.

Hi Jimmy,
Thanks for the kind words! I am fond of the geometric shapes that I've seen in others' work, too. Just haven't actually used them in my work yet. I doubt this will be the last! Alex, I'm glad you like the new shirt... it was a bit warm to paint in, though. :o Richard, Sorry to say, I'm a little tired of this model. ;) But I know I'll come back to her again and again. I will double check the pink on the nose after I've spent some time away, thanks for mentioning it. |
Hi Lacey! Great lighting. I love the way the shadows fall on your face. I agree with all the compliments already poured on you, especially that this is your very best to date! I also like the stripe addition. Really nice work. You make a great model.

Thanks so much, Lisa! It's so encouraging to get complements from such talented people. I can't wait to get going on my next one!

Ah, Lacey!
I had missed this last post of the final portrait. I love it. Love the shirt choice and the whole feel of it. The stripe was an excellent idea! It looks great! |
