Allan, this looks very neat, despite folding origami in my teens I didn't know how to fold corners that well! I'll try straight away, thank you very much for posting this

Thank you Allan! That was indeed a great corner and, like Ilaria, I will try to duplicate it.

I use a Staple tool that works with only one hand. If you would use a hammer and tacks you would need a magnetic hammer. I bought a canvas pliers, but it broke, so now I use my fingers again like I used to. To wrap the canvas all around the stretchers I place the canvas upside down on a table and use both my thumbs to add pressure from the front side of the canvas, and when it is tight I hold it with the one hand and staples, first on the edge and later on the excess. Hope this was helpful, Allan |
Thanks Allan for sharing.
I'm not sure what a Stable tool is, but basically what you're saying is that you use your thumbs and the Stable tool, to get a drum-tight canvas? Sounds pretty amazing to me. marcus |

About stretching. You will find excellent advises if you look for the post: " Stretching Pre-Primed Canvas" by Garth Herrick. Allan |
Thanks for the tip on Garth's post, and for clarifying. Your post here alone is a good enough tip to make things better for us :)
