Just lyrical Mike! The Vivaldi currently playing on the net radio is perfect with this imagery.

It would be cool to get the first sunrise of 2005 too. I hope some tries this. I guess ideally one must be situated on the Atlantic side of FL for this.

I too am fond of Vavaldi.

I am more reliable on the sunset than the sunrise. I don't have anything against sunrises, I just don't think you have to be awake to enjoy them.

Having missed the wake up call for the sunrise I thought I'd follow the last sunset of '04 with the first of '05.

WOW Mike, that's breathtaking!

As I dined on a $1.99 shrimp sandwich at IKEA, looking out through the plate glass window with the sun setting over greater suburbia, my first thought was "Will Mike capture this moment for us all?". I admit I was up rather late this morning too. Judging by those outstanding pictures of yours, could 2005 be even a better year than 2004?

Thanks for this visual treat,

Garth

Man, I know who to go to when I next need a dramatic cloud reference!

Those images are straight out of the camera, I did no color enhancement. As you stand on the beach looking out at these scenes the colors will change dramatically in just a matter of seconds. In the last throws of light you can get four different looks in the course of one minute. This place can really come with the sunsets.

Yesterday evening (last year), as I was photographing the little girl with the birds, a pair of dolphins cruised past not forty feet off shore. They would surface every hundred feet or so as they paralleled the shore line. I missed them each time they came up. The imagery around here is so rich I think I'm going to have to try my hand at painting some of these scenes.

I should stop now.

Mike,

Do you have a large version of the first image. I'd like to use it as desktop wallpaper from time to time if you don't mind.

Ahhhh, I miss Florida!

My pleasure.

Georgeous Mike! We just got home (a few weeks ago) from Sanibel Island. These bring back memories!
