A breakthrough
 

To everyone.....Thanks for all your help here.

I've had the opportunity to spend some late nights with Corel7 and have broken the code. I'm now making transparent overlays with ease and it works very well.

Beth, in a post elsewhere, you carefully mentioned that a 'For Dummies" book might be in order. Please know that I took no offense. I've actually got a good bit of computer experience, but not in the graphics area. My work is in electrical and lighting design and I'm usually running math programs. By the time I get home to my sanctuary, I'm sick of my computer.
